Dovercourt’s ‘Town Team’ are pleased to have the support of Harwich’s MP, Bernard Jenkin, in its attempt to become one of the 12 town centres chosen for the pilot of the government’s initiative with Mary Portas.

Mr Jenkin visited Dovercourt town centre on Friday and was shown the issues and opportunities by members of the newly formed ‘Town Team’. As a result Mr Jenkin has added his voice to Dovercourt’s bid by providing a letter of support.

Leader of the Dovercourt Town Team, Lesley Pollard, says
“We were very pleased to have the opportunity to show Mr Jenkin around Dovercourt town centre and he was very supportive of our attempt to become part of the government’s Mary Portas initiative. His letter of support is most welcome.”
